Korean Boy Bands To Watch Out This 2017: Netizens Speculate Male Groups Such As Astro, B.A.P., Monsta X, And Seventeen To Become Popular This Year
It's the second month of the year 2017 and it's never too late for netizens to name some of their most anticipated this male idol groups this year. These male groups are distinguished to have the potential to "break out" and standout from the sea of other male groups.
According to All KPop, the first lucky male idol groups are the "Seventeen". Despite being just thirteen in the group, the boys have decided to name themselves as Seventeen. This is because they are composed of thirteen members, plus their unit count (vocal, performance, hip hop = 3) and the group (1), summing up to 17.
The other male group that has potential to "break out" is the Monsta, South Korea's hip-hop boy group which is under Starship Entertainment. It is composed of 5 boys named Jooheon, Wonho, Shownu, I.M., Kihyun, Hyungwon, and Minhyuk. Monsta X is famous for their songs entitled All In, Trespass, and Stuck.
Another Korean boy band that made it on the list is the B.A.P., the short-term for Best Absolute Perfect. The group was founded in 2011 under TS Entertainment. It is composed of six members namely Daehyun, Yongguk, Himchan, Zelo, Jongup, and Youngjae. B.A.P. launched their first single, "Warrior", in January 2012. In the same year, the boy band has received the "Rookie of the Year" award at the MelOn Music Awards 2012. (via It's BAP)
Last on the list but definitely not the least is the Astro. The South Korean boy group was formed in 2015 under Fantagio. The group is composed of six members namely MJ, Jin Jin, Rocky, Cha Eun-woo, Yoon San-ha, and Moonbin. Astro is famous for their songs such as Morning Call, Ok! Ready To Go, and Breathless.
