Facebook Instant Articles App Launched; Details Released As IPhone Users Enjoy Features!
As of today, Facebook finally rolled out "Instant Articles" to all iOS users and according to MacRumors, it should be working in iPhones by now.
Last year, in June, the team started researching technology that could deliver beyond plain stories with flawless and glossy appearance. At first, they weren't really sure if this exploration will be successful, but then, Ben Cunninghum, a Paper engineer, came along and showed a prototype and made some promises.
"Instant Articles" was said to be the new platform to hasten the loading times of Articles when using iOS app. Facebook announced several months earlier about the advanced podium but it was only available to few iOS end users.
Michael Reckhow said; "He showed a publisher's content getting piped through the Facebook stack," Reckhow says, "and rendering natively, with the same rendering architecture that renders Paper," according to Wired.
Michael, cited by Wired, was a former Microsoft and Amazon employee who serves as a product manager for both Paper and Instant Articles.
They still spent some months working on things as the whole team was aiming for the perfect launch of "Instant Article." The system function like this; Page loads quickly and these articles are far from static, videos automatically play as you view your News Feed and Facebook users will find interactive maps and charts. This smooth operating platform paid off their hard work, cited by Wired.
Additionally, as much as you do on Facebook Paper, you can scan both photos and videos by simply waving your phone back and forth.
"Instant Articles not only connect readers to stories faster; they also provide a richer reading experience than standard mobile web articles, with dynamic features that make the content more fluid, interactive and immersive.," Facebook detailed.
Meanwhile, Facebook is more excited as they're going to launch later this year the "Instant Articles," for Android. Thus, they have released Beta for Android. Also, there are major publications have signed up to use Facebook 's Instant Article podium that includes NBC, The New York Times, BuzzFeed, and more.
