Final Fantasy 7 Remake News And Rumors: Announcement Of Release Date Speculated
The remake of Square Enix' Final Fantasy 7 is starting to shed some light but there are no clues if they are launching the game in 2017. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Final Fantasy - and Final Fantasy VII on its 20th year - Square Enix is turning back time to bring back the game on a Playstation 4 format.
Not much news on the release but Square Enix already teased fans of a visual image of Final Fantasy 7's Cloud Strife and the game's villain, Sephiroth. Instead, Square Enix diverted their fan's attention to the newest DLC of Final Fantasy XV which is Episode Gladio Mac 28 and Episode Promto that they plan to launch by June of this year. Also, they will also be releasing new superhero costumes this coming February 21.
On July 11, Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age will be launched on the PS4 in which Balthier will be included in World of Final Fantasy. The expansion of Final Fantasy XIV will also be launched on June 20 which is entitled Stormblood. According to VG 24/7, there is also a live-action flick that will be launched.
Fans can expect that more information about Final Fantasy 7 will be announced at the Monaco Anime Game International on February 18. Tetsuya Nomura, the game director, will be doing the honors of announcing the Final Fantasy 7 remake together with Kingdom Hearts 3.
The announcement of Nomura has long been awaited by the cult following of Final Fantasy 7 and there are speculations that the game will also come in a PC version of Mobius Final Fantasy, wherein you can play as the FF7 protagonist - Cloud Strife.
