Girl's Generation's Seohyun revealed she said no to management label SM Entertainment's original concept for her debut solo album.

"Don't Say No" singer Seohyun claimed she stepped in and rejected the first concept image SM initially brought forward to her.

The youngest Girl's Generation member and singer-actress said Wednesday in her guest appearance on "Cultwo Show" that she preferred a different image than the one SM had in mind for her.

"The image the agency had for me was too much like a young girl, and it was different from the music that I wanted to do. So I carefully shared my opinions, and they changed the concept, saying they said they'll respect my opinions," allkpop quoted Seohyun as saying.

Seohyun is known to have an image that's prim and proper as well as someone who has never been in a relationship yet. She appeared in several variety shows as she promoted her solo album where the hosts constantly delved into her love life or lack of it.

The 25-year-old singer may not have much romance to speak of but her blossoming career and enduring friendship with the rest of her Girl's Generation co-members all makeup for it.

"I'm happy that I was able to have it released in a meaningful year," said Seohyun as she referred to Girl's Generation's 10th anniversary.

She added that she looked forward to plenty of various performances this year.

Seohyun also shared that she gets her support from the other members.

"Their thoughts are delivered even without words because we've been together for more than 10 years. They also always give me support in our group chat," she said.

Seohyun won her first music show win as a solo artist Thursday on "M!Countdown" when she beat Akdong Musician's "Last Goodbye" for the top spot with a score of 7,411.
