Latest Leaks & Rumors on the LG G6

South Korean tech company LG will soon unveil its latest flagship LG G6 smartphone next month at Mobile World Congress in Spain. However, leaked photos circulating online revealed the phone's display features. LG G6 is expected to have rounded corners and super thin bezel. Its display screen also takes 90 percent of the device.

LG G6 Display Features Revealed In Leaked Photos

Based on the photo obtained by CNBC, LG G6 is a smartphone that features both metal and glass casing. The device has 5.7 inches of a display screen that is almost 90 percent of its surface area. LG G6 showcases superthin bezels which compete to Xiaomi's concept phone Mi Mix that has 91.3 percent screen-to-body ratio.

Moreover, leaked images also display rounded edge of LG's G6. Curved display corners are also rumored to be featured in Mi Mix and Samsung Galaxy S8. These smartphones are also expected to have thin bezels, which is becoming a big thing in the modern smartphone industry.

LG G6 Waterproof With Headphone Jack; Battery Not Replaceable

The bottom part of LG G6 smartphone wasn't revealed in the leaked photos. However, The Verge strongly believes that LG G6 will still feature the classical headphone jacks. Despite Apple's attempt to reinvent modern smartphones with wireless headphones, it seems like LG alongside Samsung is not taking the same step.

Unlike the company's previous flagships, LG G6 will be cased entirely with metal and glass instead of plastic. It will also be waterproof similar to other newly released smartphones. The battery, on the other hand, is reportedly not detachable nor replaceable.

Some analysts believe that LG's G6, however, will not make a big impact in the company. Research director for European mobile devices Francisco Jeronimo told CNBC: "Even if this is one of the best devices at MWC, I don't see it changing the fortunes for LG." He added that it's difficult for LG to make brand awareness that drives demand from consumers.
