IU And Jang Kiha Broke Up After 4 Years of Dating

And so it has been confirmed Monday, January 23, that IU and Jang Kiha have broken up.

The celebrity couple had been dating for 4 years now. But unfortunately, they have called it quits today.

According to the report of Ilgan Sport, the couple decided to go their separate ways about a week ago. It has also been revealed that IU and Jang Kiha had been breaking up and getting back together for multiple times now. And today, they have finally decided to call it quits for good.

"It's true they broke up. They decided to stay good sunbae-hoobae," said Jang Kiha's label, confirming the news.

The couple met sometime in 2013 when IU guested on a radio show where Jang Kiha was the host. They started dating shortly right after. However, they never openly admitted their relationship to the public until 2016 during the release of IU's 7th mini-album 'Chat-Shire'.

Fans were surprised to learn that IU was actually dating someone. But what shocked them, even more, is the fact that she's dating Jang Kiha who is 11 years older than her. IU is 23 years old while Jang Kiha is 34 years old. 

When asked about their age gap, Jang Kiha said in a past interview that he doesn't feel the age gap when he talked to her since they were on the same wavelength. And rather than focusing on the age gap, the singer-songwriter-host said that they took it as a means of learning from each other.

However, after 4 years of dating, the couple decided to break up. But if there's anything good about their break-up, it is the fact that they have decided to remain friends. It was said that they do not have ill feelings towards each other even after the breakup.
