Minzy On 2NE1’s Last Track ‘Good Bye’

Former 2NE1 maknae, Minzy, opened up about her feelings on the group's farewell track through her Instagram account.

Minzy posted a couple of throwback photos of 2NE1 on her Instagram account on Friday, January 20, 2106. The former 2NE1 maknae was hurt that she only learned about the group's final track through some news article.

"It's a shame that I had to find out 2NE1 will be releasing their final album through a news article," Minzy captioned her Instagram post.

According to the idol, she, too, wanted to bid farewell to fans who had supported the group in their 7-year journey in the world of K-pop.

"This is very unfortunate as I was previously a member of the group 2NE1, but I share the same feelings as the other members in wanting to show appreciation and bid farewell to everyone for all their love and support of 2NE1," her caption continued.

Aside from saying 'thank you' to fans, she also asked the fans to continue supporting them as they continue with their respective careers.

"I am truly grateful and sincerely appreciate all the love 2NE1 received and hope for your extended love and support as the members continue on in their individual careers. Thank you," she added.

2NE1 had their debut in 2009. On April 5, 2016, however, Minzy, who was the youngest member of the group, left 2NE1 and the label that handles it, YG Entertainment. She transferred to The Music Works Entertainment, a subsidiary of CJ E&M's music division to pursue a solo career.

Seven months since she officially left 2NE1, the band disbanded. Much to the surprise of the fans, they officially announced their disbandment on November 25, 2016.

The group will be releasing one final track entitled 'Good Bye' as their way of saying 'thank you' to fans who supported them since day 1. The said track will be released on January 21, 2016.
