Millions of fans around the world are now excited for the upcoming release of the "Iron Man 4" movie. However, recent reports suggest that the fourth installment might not happen anymore as Robert Downey Jr. is said to be focusing more on the "Sherlock Holmes 3."
Rumor has it that Robert Downey Jr. is not coming back as Tony Stark in the "Iron Man 4" movie. According to reports, the actor is currently busy with other projects such as the "Sherlock Holmes 3" movie, Screenrant reported.
Sources have it that Robert Downey Jr. is no longer interested in putting on the suit again unless his pay will be raised. It has been reported that "The Soloist" actor has been negotiating with the higher ups to give him a fatter paycheck for "Iron Man 4" after the world success of the first three movies.
However, it seems like Robert Downey Jr. was not able to achieve his goal as several reports claim that the actor is too expensive. As a matter of fact, the "Tropic Thunder" actor reportedly asked $50 million for his role in "The Avenger" movie.
With this, fans cannot help but guess that "Iron Man 4" is not happening anymore. Robert Downey Jr., however, is said to be appearing as Tony Stark in other Marvel movies, according to CinemaBlend.
Robert Downey Jr. already appeared in "Captain America: Civil War." In the coming years, the "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" actor will be seen in the upcoming "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie alongside Tom Holland, who will play the role of Peter Parker.
Moreover, the upcoming "Avengers: Infinity War" movies is also said to feature Robert Downey Jr. after allegedly ditching the "Iron Man 4" movie. Up until now, it remains to be seen if "The Judge" actor is confirmed to join "Sherlock Holmes 3" movie.
