HTC U Ultra. All about U.

A little more than a month before the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona starts, and just one week after the end of CES in Las Vegas, HTC has set its own date on the calendar to surprise with the launch of two new smartphones.

HTC U Ultra is the new flagship of the company, as much for its design, as for its power, its double-screen and its price. The U Ultra features a 5.7-inch dual liquid crystal display, that is, with an alternative two-inch screen at the top that puts the basic information at first glance to access it more quickly and comfortably.

The design and materials with which the U Ultra is made are part of its charm. Ahead, HTC has chosen a screen of sapphire crystal in the 128 GB model and stands behind the bright rear, reflecting slightly. Artificial intelligence is also important for HTC. Under the name HTC Companion, Siri Taiwanese gradually learns user behavior. In this way, it suggests one to leave early to go to work on a snowy day, or charge the batteries if they're running low.

Also noteworthy is the use of HTC USonic. This technology analyzes the inner ear with a sound pulse and adapts to each user. Small microphones listen to the sound pulsation in the ears, analyzing the tone to optimize the handset and adapt it.

In terms of power, the HTC U Ultra works with a dual-core Snapdragon 821 processor at 2.15GHz, 4GB RAM and internal storage of 64GB or 128GB expandable by microSD cards up to 2TB, according to GSM Arena.

On the other hand, the company has decided to give more pixels to the front camera or 'selfie' than to the rear. The front is 16 Mpx UltraPixel, with Full HD 1080p video camera and includes modes like Live Makeup, Auto HDR, Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie, Selfie Panorama or Video Pic.

The rear, 12 Mpx, recorded in 4K has autofocus, image stabilizer and a good amount of modes. It has no mini-headphone jack and will be sold in white, blue, black and pink. The price of the 64GB model is 749 euros, while the 128 with sapphire crystal rises to 949 euros. It will be available on March 1, 2017, as Phone Arena suggests.

Meanwhile, HTC U Play features a 5.2-inch liquid crystal display and 3D contours. Like the U Plus, the design is bright and curved glass, which reflects the light to perfection. With HTC Companion, the U Play is able to recognize the voice and learn from the user little by little, to take actions increasingly in line with the owner's requests.

It also includes HTC USonic technology, to understand the vibrations of the ear and adjust the sound to the surrounding noise. As for power, the small family runs with a MediaTek Helio P10 processor, a 3GB or 4GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB expandable internal memory. In this case, both the front and rear cameras are 16Mpx with UltraPixel technology. In this way, the user can take a picture by choosing between 16MP and UltraPixel modes with the rear or front camera.
