Jo In Sung Reveals Why He Won’t Join 'Running Man'
Actor Jo In Sung might be persuaded to join other variety shows but he reveals there are reasons why he avoids joining SBS' "Running Man."
The 36-year-old Hallyu star from the hit melodrama "Memories in Bali" disclosed his reasons for not appearing on variety shows especially on the widely popular "Running Man" where his close friend Lee Kwang Soo is one of the cast members.
According to allkpop, Jo In Sung said in a recent interview that he rarely guests variety shows unlike most actors and that he only does so when his friend Cha Tae Hyun invites him.
The interviewer noted that the actor appeared on KBS' "2 Days & 1 Night" where Cha Tae Hyun is a regular cast member and on the top-rating MBC variety show "Infinity Challenge."
"As for 'Running Man', I think it'll be too much running," said Jo In Sung. "Also, you need to have some intensity on variety shows but I'm so close with Lee Kwang Soo. If viewers see how I really treat Kwang Soo, they'll be in for a surprise."
Jo In Sung also revealed that he's closest to Lee Kwang Soo among their nine-member celebrity group of friends. The group also includes Cha Tae Hyun, Kim Woo Bin, Song Joong Ki, Im Joo Hwan, Bae Sung Woo and EXO's D.O.
He even added that between Lee Kwang Soo and Song Joong Ki, he cares for Lee Kwang Soo more because Song Joong Ki manages to give 120% of himself to a role.
"I'm not saying that Kwang Soo doesn't but he has a lot of concerns as both an actor and a variety show entertainer. He feels pressured so I once told him that times have changed and he doesn't need to worry and struggle with old perspectives engraved in his mind," allkpop quoted Jo In Sung as saying.
