Girls' Generation's Seohyun to Make a Debut as a Solo Artist!

So it is confirmed! Seohyun will make her solo debut real soon.

As confirmed by SM Entertainment, Girls' Generation's label, Seohyun is currently preparing for a solo album. She is the fourth member to start a career as a solo artist. Before her, there's Taeyeon who made her solo debut in October 2015, followed by Tiffany on May 2016, and then there's Hyoyeon who also released a solo album on December 16.

Although Seohyun's solo debut has already been confirmed by the label, no further details have been announced yet. There's no specific date yet as to when her solo album will come out.

 

"Seohyun is currently preparing a solo album. We'll make an announcement once the schedule is confirmed," confirmed the label today, December 3.

Seohyun debuted on August 2007 as a member of the girl group 'Girls Generation'. The group is considered as one of the best-selling artists in South Korea and one of South Korea's most popular girl groups worldwide.

Seohyun had her acting debut in 2013 when she was cast a small role in an SBS drama 'Passionate Love'. She also starred in the 2016 Chinese romantic comedy film 'So I Married an Anti-Fan' with fellow Korean artist, EXO's Chanyeol.

Seohyun is also part of the SBS drama 'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo' which was very popular among international viewers.

It was also recently confirmed that the singer-actress will play the lead role of an upcoming Naver TV Cast web series 'Ruby Ruby Love' where she will play the role of a genius young woman who suffers from sociophobia but comes across a magic ring that helps her become a successful jewelry designer. The first two episodes of the said web series will be released on January 18, 2017. Joining her on the said web series are Lee Chul Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, Hwang Seok Jeong, and Z.Hera.
