'The Show' Dismisses Reports Wooshin Touched Jeon So Mi’s Breasts

"The Show" staff dismissed allegations that UP10TION's Wooshin physically harassed IOI's Jeon So Mi during the filming of the show's Christmas video.

The SBS staff took it upon themselves to clear the young MCs who found themselves in the center of the controversy that erupted in what was supposed to be a wholesome and fun music video.

"The problematic scene that cast a shadow on Somi's tie happened when Somi ducked her head so she wouldn't be out of the frame which coincided with Wooshin moving his hand while he was explaining," stated the staff, according to allkpop.

The clip showed that the 20-year-old musician seemed to have laid his hands on the chest of the 15-year-old Canadian-born I.O.I. member. Wooshin's hands appeared to have moved toward Jeon So Mi thrice, who looked uncomfortable at least for one instance.

This caught the attention of netizens who weren't sure how to make of Wooshin's gestures and Jeon So Mi's reactions. Some thought the three instances were mere accidents while the others are just confused.

The staff initially released a statement to clarify that Wooshin is innocent of the allegations despite what looked like happened in the video clip.

"During the filming, there were no uncomfortable feeling from either party," allkpop quoted the staff as saying. "The current controversy is a mistake from the angle of the video, so we ask fans to no longer misunderstand, make guesses, and criticize. We have deleted the video to prevent further guesses and misunderstandings, so we ask fans of MCs Wooshin and Somi to understand."

They released another statement to provide an even more detailed explanation. The video, according to the staff, was filmed from So Mi's manager's phone and that both stars' managers were present during the filming. The MCs also rehearsed before the filming and both of their managers approved of the final video.

They added that both stars have been constantly "considerate" of each other. They apologized to the MCs and also to the viewers.
