The theater year-end season is always a big deal among theater companies. For this year, they have prepared a lot of must-see musical shows for the theater goers to choose from. Here's a list on what to expect on theaters this year-end season.

The Bodyguard

Based on the 1992 film of the same title. The musical tells the story of a famous singer and her bodyguard who protects her from danger. The show features the movie's original theme songs like Whitney Houston's famous cover of 'I Will Always Love You'. It will run from Dec. 15 to March 5. Tickets cost from 60,000 to 140,000 won.

Aida

A Disney Musical based on Verdi's opera of the same title. The musical tells the heartbreaking love story of Nubian Princess Aida, Egyptian Captain Radames, and his fiancee Egyptian Princess Amneris. It will feature songs of Elton John. The show will be staged at the Charlotte Theater in Southern Seoul until March 11. Tickets cost 60,000 to 140,000 won.

Phantom

An adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "The Phantom of the Opera". The musical provides another twist to the original story as it gives an account to the Phantom's background. The show will be staged at the Blue Square in Seoul from Nov. 26 to Feb. 26. Tickets cost from 60,000 to 140,000 won.

Romeo and Juliet

Based on Shakespeare's play with the same title. The musical tells the story of a star-crossed lover whose deaths ultimately reconcile their feuding families. It will be played by top actors Park Jung Min and Moon Geun Young. The musical will be staged at Daloreum Theater of the National Theater of Korea on Namsan Mountain from Dec. 9 to Jan. 15. Tickets cost from 33,000 to 66,000 won.
