As announced by Hyundai Card, the world-renown British rock band, Coldplay, will hit Seoul through "Hyundai Super Concert 22 Coldplay." The said event will be held at Seoul Olympic Stadium in Jamsil, Southern Seoul on April 15. This will be the band's first ever performance in Korea.
"We're happy to announce Coldplay's first Korean performance through the Hyundai Card Super Concert that has been long-awaited by many fans," a Hyundai Card official said. "We plan to combine Coldplay's fantastic music and top-tier visual effects throughout the whole concert to make a combined art platform."
This is in line with Coldplay's Asia Tour 2017. The band will visit Singapore (April 1, Saturday at National Stadium, Singapore), Philippines (April 4, Tuesday at Mall Of Asia Concert Grounds, Manila), Taiwan (April 12, Wednesday at Taoyuan HSR, Taipei), Japan (April 19, Wednesday at Tokyo Dome, Tokyo), and of course, Korea (April 15, Saturday at Olympic Stadium, Seoul).
Coldplay was formed in 1996 at University College London (UCL). The rock band's members are Chris Martin on lead vocals, Jonny Buckland on lead guitar, Guy Berryman on bass, and Will Champion on drums. They have released a total of 7 albums and have sold 80 million worldwide. The group have won 7 Grammy and 9 Brit awards.
Korean fans of the British rock-band were going gaga upon hearing that Coldplay will perform in Seoul next year. They've been dying to know how to reserve their tickets for the said event.
Hyundai Card members can reserve their seats from 12:00 p.m. Nov. 23. Regular members, on the other hand, can start making reservations from 12:00 p.m. Nov. 24. The reservations can be made through Interpark or Yes24. Tickets range from 44,000 won ($37) to 154,000 won.
