After almost four years of taking a break from music, it seems that British singer-songwriter Adele has a new song coming up that could signify her possible comeback in the scene, BBC writes.
Adele's new song was teased during a commercial break for TV show "The X Factor" which episode was aired last Sunday, October 18. The said teaser is only composed of white text on a black background with the singer's voice singing the words displayed on screen, complimented with a slow piano track.
"Hello/It's me/I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet/To go over everything/They say that time's supposed to heal ya/But I ain't done much healing," The lyrics on Adele's song wrote. No significant details such as the song title and release date have been included in the said TV ad.
Her last release was the single "Skyfall" in 2012 which was used as the official theme song for the James Bond film of the same title. It earned multiple accolades from the highest award-giving bodies in music and entertainment, such as an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2013, the Golden Globe for Best Original Song, and a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
Could this mean that her newest album will come out earlier than expected? The last update regarding Adele's upcoming release is that the 27-year-old singer is working with producers Dangler Mouse and Max Martin and also with songwriter Tobias Jesso, Jr, according to MTV.
