Actor to Start an MMA Fighter Career at the Age of 50

Kim Bo Sung, a fifty-year-old Actor to start an MMA fighter career as announced by Road FC, Korea's largest MMA promotion, on a recent presscon. The said actor will debut as an MMA fighter on December as he is bound to fight a Japanese MMA fighter, Tetsuo Kondo. The two are said to meet in the ring on December 10 for Kim Bo Song's first ever MMA fight.

Before this actor to start an MMA fighter career, he is a well-known action star who starred in more than 20 action films and 4 drama series. His latest movie is Analog Human (2016), a story about an actor on his 40's who is long past his popular days and who works various jobs to support his family.

During a press conference, Kim Bo Song revealed that he has been training three to four hours a day in preparation for his MMA fighter debut. He even added that it is only now that he truly understands how hard it is to qualify as an MMA fighter and how hard one has to work to actually excel in the field.

And since the actor to start an MMA fighter career, he specifically requested for a strong opponent. And to grant his request, Jung Mun Hong, Road FC President chooses a judoka-turned-MMA fighter, Tetsuo Kondo.

Kim Bo Song is not the first actor to start an MMA Fighter career. Before him, there were comedians Lee Seung Yoon and Yoon Hyung Bin who also took a risk in MMA fighting. Kim Bo Song is the third actor to do so.

During the interview, Kim Bo Song promised that if he is lucky enough to win his first fight, he will donate the fight money to those who are battling cancer. That is one noble cause for the actor to start an MMA Fighter career.
