Cambodia-based Korean Pastor Arrested for Child Abuse
A Cambodia-based Korean Pastor arrested for child abuse. This Korean Pastor was allegedly sexually harassing eight young girls for the past six years. These girls, along with their families, live at the pastor's church in Seam Reap.
This Korean Pastor arrested for child abuse is a 62-year-old Korean national with the last name Park. He represented a Christian church in Chung Kaosu village where he was allowing some poor families to stay with him. Unknown to some, this pastor was sexually abusing some of the young girls from these poor families. He was having sexual relationships with these very young girls in exchange for foods, shelter, and other items.
According to the investigation, the Korean Pastor arrested for child abuse was allowing 20 poor girls and their families to stay in his church. He does not only provide them with food and shelter, he also gives them and their families valuable things like motorbikes. In exchange to this, he was allowed to have a long-term sexual relationship to some of these girls. These girls were known to be between eleven and sixteen years old. And since the abuse had been going on for about six years now, the girls were technically very young when he started abusing them.
All of these sexually abused girls' agony has finally come to an end when the provincial anti-human trafficking and juvenile protection police raided the home of this pastor last Thursday morning, saving the abused girls in the process. The Korean pastor was arrested during the raid, too.
The victims of the Korean Pastor arrested for child abuse were then moved to somewhere safe as reported by Action Pour Les Enfants (APLE), the NGO who helps the police hunt this pastor down. It was reported that it's actually them who tipped the police about this case. It is the main purpose of this NGO to hunt pedophiles, put them behind bars and save their victims.
