On the October 12 broadcast of "Naver V Live," EXO's Kai chatted with fans and discussed fellow member Lay's current situation following his sudden collapse at the airport on October 11. Kai also talked about his own recent injury, according to a report from allkpop.
Kai is now slowly recovering from his leg injury and also previously announced that he is back to dancing and will perform with his fellow EXO members in the future shows. He will also take part in the upcoming concert of his group from October 13 to 14 at the Makomanai Sekisui Heim Ice Arena in Hokkaido, Japan. He said, "My manager hyung is watching over my broadcast right now. He must be worried about me. But I think I will do well. It is not something too difficult."
He also mentioned that their flight was delayed and they ended up arriving in Japan later than the scheduled time. He then opened up about another EXO member Lay's current condition after he collapsed at the airport. Kai stated, "Lay hyung is ill and did not get on the plane with us. I know you all must be worried, but I think he is okay. He will probably take a flight here tomorrow."
On October 11, SM Entertainment released an official update on Lay's condition. SM said, "Lay temporarily fainted due to lack of sleep. Thankfully, the doctor said all he needs is a good rest. Lay will be heading to the dorm to rest. He has a strong desire to attend the concert, so we will make a decision after checking in on his condition."
As to his own injury, Kai assured his fans that his condition is now much better. He stressed, "My leg is much better. It's about 90 percent recovered. I can dance now. I went through physical therapy about 3 hours a day. Do not worry about me."
