During a recent interview with Sports DongA, Pentagon talks about Shinwon's injury.

Cube Entertainment has debuted another boy group Pentagon, and two of the group's members shared their thoughts on why they chose their current agency over top South Korean entertainment labels SM Entertainment and YG Entertainment.

In an article, allkpop reported that Hongseok was part of the show "Mix & Match" and nearly debuted in YG Entertainment's boy group iKON. However, Hongseok left the label following the end of the show. On October 10, during the showcase for Pentagon's first mini album titled "Pentagon," he revealed the reason why he decided to leave YG and join Cube Entertainment.

He said, "I was a candidate for iKON, but I was eliminated. So then I was left behind, and I felt like I was too old to be debuting as an idol. WINNER debuted and so did iKON and I got scared of waiting for the next turn under the label. So I went out to search for my own team and music. The rookie development director of Cube explained to me about a team called Pentagon and it was perfect, so I told him right away that I want to stay here in Cube."

Jinho, on the other hand, was part of SM The Ballad. He also opted to leave SM Entertainment and went to join Cube. He stated, I was a trainee for about six years, but my opinions and the label's opinions were a bit different. So I decided to bid them farewell under good terms."

Pentagon is Cube's first boy group in four years after BTOB. The members are grateful to their seniors and some of them even shared stories involving their fellow labelmates.

Hongseok mentioned, "HyunA and CLC came to the MV set to show their support. They recharged our fighting morale so we went on full of energy."

Shiwon also relayed, "BTOB's Eunkwang gave us good advice. We will work even harder in order to not damage the names of B2ST and BTOB."

When asked about what sets them apart from the other boy groups under their label, Pentagon's leader Hui said, "Rather than differences, we want to become a group that can combine the voice of BTOB with the elegant performance of B2ST."
