EXO’s Sehun Apologizes For His ‘Good Weather’ Post During The Typhoon

EXO member Sehun is currently on the hot seat after posting a controversial post in his Instagram account.

Sehun, the youngest member of EXO, has issued a clarification and apology towards his recent SNS posts that created a debate online.

Sehun posted a scenic photo on his official Instagram account on October 5th with a caption, "Good weather," with a series of emoticons. However, the idol's simple update rapidly received negative reactions from netizens because of the recent damage and deaths caused by the typhoon in some areas in Ulsan, Busan, and Jeju Island.

Sehun eventually deleted the post due to the negative comments and reactions of the netizens in his post and as well as in his personal Instagram account.

In order to eliminate the issue and cool down the angry netizens, an apology was posted by the singer and rapper in his personal Instagram account for the solidarity of the damage and victims of the typhoon. Sehun explained that he only posted the photo because there is a good weather in his location and only saw the typhoon in the Southern cities through the linked articles. He ended his stamen with the caption "I hope there won't be any serious damage."

Previously, SNSD member, Tiffany also faced a controversy due to her SNS post of the Japanese rising sun flag during the South Korea's Liberation Day. Tiffany issued two apology letters posted in her SNS account and she was suspended for her current projects that time and went through a reflection period for her actions.

Meanwhile, Sehun announced that he will be playing the lead role in the upcoming Korean-Chinese web drama entitled "Dear Achimedes". The young actor will portray the role of Yan Su, an intelligent youth with high IQ but low EQ. Furthermore, Sehun is currently preparing for EXO's performance at the 2016 Asia Music Festival in Busan.
