EXO member Lay is to be performing his first solo debut single at the "2016 Asia Music Festival."

Aside from Lay's performance at the music festival, his group EXO will also be performing at the said event. This caused many speculations and negative feedback from fans. They said Lay was being insensitive and selfish because he is going to perform his solo track despite the fact that he is also having a group performance with EXO.

On October 4, the 2016 Asia Music Festival has attracted more anticipations and expectations despite of some negative feedback after it was announced that EXO member Lay will also be performing his solo track at the event.

Previously, it was reported that Lay will be releasing his first solo album in China and Lay's management is not yet giving any details about the date of release of his album but many speculations say that it will be on the month of October.

The singer and dancer first ventured the promotions of his solo career in China through the SMSTATION's "Monodrama."

Moreover, fans are grateful that all the nine members of the South Korean boy group will be performing together on stage at the 2016 Asia Music Festival. SM Entertainment, the boy group's agency, confirmed that the EXO member Kai will be performing with the group after completing his months of rehabilitation due to his recent leg injury.

Furthermore, EXO will be performing at the 13th Asia Song Festival which will be held at the Asiad Main Stadium located in Busan, South Korea. Other K-pop groups will also be joining the event including TWICE, SEVENTEEN, MAMAMOO, Simon D, NCT and many more.

The Asia Song Festival is yearly celebrated in South Korea since 2004. The event is hosted by the Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE). The festival features different artists from Asia and it is broadcast on Fuji TV in Japan and Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) in South Korea. Some awards for the artists that will participate in the event include "Best Asian Artist" awarded by KOFICE chairman and plaque of appreciation from the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
