Have you heard of the song PPAP or Pen Pineapple Apple Pen? Well if not, this is the time for you to listen to this viral song and know the magic behind the song!

Currently, the PPAP song has taken over the online world with many people performing the song and posting their videos online.

A Japanese comedian and DJ, Kosaka Daimaou sings the viral song PPAP, which is a simple, catchy, and nonsensical song about a pen, an apple, a pen, and a pineapple while Kosaka is dancing to the addictive tune of the song.

The lyrics of the song are about like this:

"I have a pen. I have an apple. Apple-pen!

I have a pen. I have [a] pineapple. Pineapple-pen!

Apple-pen. Pineapple-pen. Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen."

According to Spoon & Tamago, a blog for Japanese design, art and culture, Kosaka portrays the fictional character "Piko-Taro" in all of his comedic performances.

Piko-Taro, is a character who have a thin mustache, square spectacles together with an animal print outfit.

Kazuhiko Kosaka in real life is known as Kosaka Daimaou in the Japanese entertainment industry, developed the fictional character of Piko-Taro by uploading the PPAP song, which is his first recorded YouTube video around the last week of August 2016.

Kosaka revealed how he composed the lyrics of the bizarre song through his twitter post saying "When I was making this music with play, I was [just] singing it too soon."

After the PPAP song was uploaded in YouTube, it rapidly became viral in social media sites particularly in Facebook. The original PPAP video already garnered more than 8 million views in YouTube while the Facebook video uploaded by 9GAG has reached more than 44 million views.

Furthermore, many celebrities all over Asia are now uploading their videos performing the viral song. Japanese celebrity duo Rika and Riko, Thai star Happy Polla, Malaysian celebrity Amber Chia with her son Ashton Wong, Korean boy group Up10tion, and many more celebrities around the world. Justin Bieber also declared that the PPAP video was his current favorite video in the Internet.

Only time can tell if the PPAP song will be able to reach the hype of the Korean Viral song Gangnam Style by Psy which was released in 2012 that surpassed around one billion views on YouTube.
