Korean Lesbian Community Ranks Top 20 Girl Group Idols

The Korean lesbian community selected the best girl group idols in town and ranked them according to number of votes gathered.

Korean female idols are admired for their beauty and talent. To know who's the fairest of them all, a lesbian community in the country launched an Instiz poll to rank girl group members.

The survey garnered 9,369 votes which equate to a high demographic count of a Kpop fan base.

Koreaboo reported that Irene of Red Velvet and Krystal of f(x) received 555 votes each making them tied on the top position.

Before her debut with Red Velvet, Irene appeared in several SM artists music videos. She was also host of Music Bank from May 2015 to June 2016. Her role as Ahreum in the drama "the Female Employees of a Game Company" is her first acting project.

Meanwhile, Khrystal debuted with her group f(x) in 2009 and also works under the agency SM Entertainment. Her talent in acting was showcased in dramas including "High Kick 3," "The Heirs," and "My Lovely Girl." Co-member Amber was ranked number 11.

The other three members of the band Red Velvet were included. Seulgi, Wendy and Joy landed on number 3, 9 and 20, respectively.

The MAMAMOO girls also secured positions on the ranking. Moonbyul took the fourth position. She joined the cast of web drama "Star Love." Wheein and Solar were on the sixth and seventh position, respectively. Hwasa took the fourteenth position.

Three out of eight Girls Generation's members were also ranked by fans. Taeyeon, Tiffany and Yoona took the fifth, twelfth, and fifteenth position, respectively. Taeyeon was also hailed by Forbes as one of the Top 40 Power Celebrities of 2016.

Other idols on the list are Jungyeon of Twice at 7, Doyeon of IOI at 10, Gain of Brown Eyed Girls at 13, IU at 16. Sunmi of Wonder Girls at 18, and the "nation's fairy" Hyorin at 19, All Kpop listed.

Almost 1,900 lesbians participated in the survey conducted from Sept. 12 to 18.

The question asked, "Who is your favorite female idol?"
