SM Entertainment Reveals EXO’s D.O. As Lead Role For New Web Drama
SM Entertainment confirmed that EXO's D.O. will play the lead role of a new upcoming web drama.
EXO's D.O. will show again his acting skills for his comeback to the Korean drama industry. The new web drama will be directed and produced by Lee Byung Heon, who created and directed the movie "Twenty" starring Kang Ha Neul, Kim Woo Bin and Junho from 2PM.
Do Kyung Soo in real life or popularly known as D.O. from the boy group EXO has been confirmed to play the lead role in the upcoming drama which is scheduled to air by the end of 2016.
SM Entertainment officially revealed to Star News on September 19 that D.O. has been confirmed to take the lead role in the newest web series of director Lee Byung Hun. The drama doesn't have a working title yet and the production of the web drama has not yet begun. The script and full synopsis of the drama have been created.
Director Lee Byung Hun who often mistaken as actor Lee Byung Hun, had gained popularity after producing youthful comedy films. Director Lee's reputation is more on creating funny movies that focus on the "college friendship and love" genre. Many people are already anticipating the new web drama.
In this new web drama, D.O. will be playing the role of a college student taking film major. The personality of D.O.'s character is off the wall but he is an intelligent student who has the passion for film.
As soon as the female lead role is confirmed and after D.O. completed the filming for the movie "God", the official production for the upcoming web drama will start and the drama will be produced by Cheil Worldwide Inc. Currently, D.O. has starred in several acting roles in movies like Pure Love, Cart, Hyung, and the upcoming movie entitled "With God", and supporting roles in Korean dramas including I Remember You and It's Okay, It's Love.
