G-Dragon made his fans line-up outside "8 Seconds" a store located in Myeong-dong, Seoul.

Chinese fans rushed to the clothing store to purchase the rapper's modelled t-shirts and hats. Bigbang's leader was selected as the brand's new model in August which significantly boosts sales.

Reports revealed that the Myeong-dong based store experienced W200 million inflation on its sales before the celebration of Bigbang's 10th anniversary concert last August 20. Around 65,000 VIPs attended the event at the World Cup Stadium and majority were Chinese fans, The Chosunilbo reported.

A store representative said "before hiring G-Dragon it took us at least 10 days to achieve such sales."

Another store that benefited from the Korean superstar's charm and popularity is the Duty Free Shop located at Shinsegae Department Store also in Myeong-dong. On the day of the 0-TO-10 concert, the shop earned W1.6 billion sales.

Bigbang's agency shop YG Store also grossed bigtime and recorded an over fivefold increase on sales.

YG Entertainment revealed that G-Dragon will be under one year contract with "8 Seconds," a Samsung fast fashion brand. The contract includes the artist's own fashion line parading collaborations with the brand.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the fashionista Kpop star designed a few items including ripped jeans and sukajan jackets. Number 8 is G-Dragon's favorite number and he used it in his creations.

He emphasized "I am very excited to launch the collaboration line that reflects my style."

G-Dragon is popular not only for his music but also for his fashion statements. His public appearances and music videos show his stylish side commended by several award giving bodies and international fashion institutes.

The 28 year old singer is set to fly to Shanghai on September 30 for the opening of the first "8 Seconds" store in the city.
