Viral Video: Paris Restaurant Owner Discriminates Muslim Women Sparks Outrage in France

 A video went viral in social media and several news media outlets of a Parisian restaurant owner refusing to serve meals to two Muslim women.

The restaurant owner shouted at the two women wearing hijab saying: "Terrorists are Muslims and all Muslims are terrorists," then verbally forced them out of his restaurant.

Reports say that the restaurant is named Le Cenacle restaurant in Tremblay-en-France. The incident took place Saturday night.

The extremely disrespectful treatment of the two women has sparked outrage and condemnation across France.

The local prosecutors' office had started an investigation in the restaurant.

Laurence Rossignol, a Government Minister, described the man's actions as "intolerable" and said that she has ordered the Dilcra, a government anti-racism body, to investigate the incident.

CCIF, a French anti-Islamophobia group, denounced the incident as another myopic and immature view of Muslims and Islam.

The man eventually apologized  saying that his emotions had gotten out of hand due to the tensions brought about by the wearing of burkinis on French beaches. He also reasoned that a close friend of his got killed at the Bataclan concert center attack last November.
