Xbox Scorpio Release Date: Autumn 2017
Xbox Scorpio release date is sometime late 2017 and fans are excited to see if it is true that it would be the most powerful video game console in the history of gaming.
Total Supremacy
Rumors are buzzing that Microsoft will use Xbox Scorpio to permanently obliterate Sony's Playstation and Nintendo's NX out of the video game console business securing Xbox's supremacy as the best console gaming of all time.
Highly Anticipated
The PlayStation Neo and Xbox Project Scorpio are highly-anticipated by fans worldwide with Sony's launching their upgraded console on September 7 2016 while Xbox Scorpio most likely be released around Autumn of 2017.
Mid-Generation Upgrade
Xbox Scorpio is a mid-generation upgrade of the current Xbox One, which currently has sold three million units worldwide, and not an entirely new console. Just like its rival, Xbox Scropio provides 4K gaming and Virtual Reality compatibility.
No Need 4K TV
Head of Xbox Phil Spencer said the upgraded console will have more graphics firepower than the Xbox One emphasizing that gamers do not need to buy a 4K television to enjoy the 4K capabilities of the machine.
Hefty Price Tag
Rumors abound that with the increased capabilities of Xbox Scorpio will also come with a hefty price tag. Head of Xbox Game Marketing Aaron Greenberg confirmed the rumor in Gamescom 2016 stating that "We think about Xbox Scorpio as a premium product. From that standpoint, it is going to be a very high-end product."
Video game website GameSpot speculates that Xbox Scorpio will be priced within $1,000.
4K Gaming Console
Aaron Greenberg said that the impetus to create Xbox One Scorpio was to address the growing the 4K gaming market.
"Today 4K gaming exists on the PC, with people who spend a lot of money on super high-end PCs with a wide variety of specs. Thousands of dollars in many cases can get 4K gaming, but it hasn't existed in the video game console market" Greenberg told Dualshockers in an interview.
