Gamescom 2016 has finally ended, bringing a stop to all of the updates and new information about the most long awaited and highly anticipated games out there; among those new information is a deeper look at the gameplay of the upcoming "Dishonored 2," Bethesda's sequel to 2012's first person stealth action game "Dishonored."

A promotional trailer showcasing the gameplay of Emily Kaldwin in "Dishonored 2" shown at Gamescom was shared by the developers on the official Bethesda Softworks YouTube channel. It showed the new abilities that players who pick to play as Emily can use in their quest to restore her rightful place as the Empress of Dunwall.

"Dishonored 2" creative director Harvey Smith previously spoke with IGN during this year's Electronic Enterainment Expo; with the events predecessor last year featuring the formal announcement of the game.

Smith spoke of the new powers and abilities coming to the franchise as players step back into the role of becoming a supernatural assassin. Among the new powers Smith spoke on were the abilities Domino and Shadow Walk, both of which were shown to their fullest potential in the Gamescom 2016 trailer.

Domino is a power that links multiple targets together, the primary use of which is to cause what happens to one target to be done to those linked to it. The Gamescom 2016 trailer utilized this by Emily linking three non-player character targets together with Domino, then proceeding to hack off the head of the primary target. Domino then caused the same thing to happen to the others.

As for Shadow Walk, the video showed the power in full gameplay usage whereas before its most famous showcase was in the E3 2015 cinematic announcement trailer. Emily used the power near the end to stalk her target, with the nature of the video indicating that it was one of the less stealthy of the abilities available in her arsenal.

For the Gamescom 2016 trailer however, Shadow Walk's usage did not at all alert the NPCs to her presence. The player in the video was even shown using Shadow Walk to lurk straight up to their targets with them completely unawares, despite the power lifting someone up and slicing them to bits right next to someone. This indicates that Shadow Walk could actually be used by players to more easily circumvent possible places where they would otherwise be sighted by enemies.

"Dishonored 2" will release on Nov. 11.
