A promotional trailer for the upcoming new installment in the anime adaptation of Gakuto Mikumo's "Strike the Blood" has been released, with the video featuring the announcement of the new voiceover talent set to lend their voices to the work.

The trailer was shared on the official Warner Bros. Anime YouTube channel, allowing fans a taste of what they can expect in the next season of the anime. The video ended by showing a listing of the new updates for the upcoming anime's development.

According to a translation by the Anime News Network, the second season will feature the return of majority of the staff that worked on the first "Strike the Blood" anime as well as the two "Strike the Blood: Valkyria no Oukoku-hen" original video animation (OVA) episodes.

The studio that worked on the prior adaptations was SILVER LINK./CONNECT, and they will return for this next season. Hideyo Yamamoto will return to direct the series, while Hiroyuki Yoshino will once again return to adapt the series composition. Keiichi Sano will provide the character designs, with Aiko Taira as the art director.

Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets will once again return to compose the anime's opening. Meanwhile, Yukina Himeragi voice actress Risa Taneda will take over from Astarte voice actress Yuka Iguchi in performing the ending song.

In addition to Taneda and Iguchi, most of the previous adaptation's main cast will return with a couple of two new voices for the new characters. Yoshimasa Hosoya will once again voice main protagonist and fourth progenitor vampire Kojou Akatsuki, alongside Asami Seto as Asagi Aiba, Rina Hidaka as his sister Nagisa Akatsuki, Ikumi Hayama as Sayaka Kirisaka, Ryota Ohsaka as Motoki Yaze, Kanae Itou as Kanon KAnase, and Hiusako Kanemoto as Natsuki Minamiya.

The new voices joining the above are Nao Toyama and Yukiyo Fujii, they will be voicing Yume Eguchi and Kirha Kisaki respectively. Both characters showed up in the 9th volume of the light novels, meaning that the new season will be adapting from that part of the story.

Of note is the actual status of the season, which will not actually be broadcast on television like the first one. Instead of a regular broadcast schedule, "Strike the Blood II" will be more similar to an OVA work in that it will ship in four home media volumes with each volume containing two episodes each.

The first volume for "Strike the Blood II" is set to hit on November 23.
