Jon Price Reveals Biggest Challenges As A Sports Bettor, Wants People To Stop Playing Fantasy Football

Today we interview the worlds most successful and profitable sports bettor Jon Price of Sports Information Traders. Price is heard on nationally syndicated radio shows throughout the world and has placed his fair share of million dollar bets on sports. His favorite sport to bet on is the NFL but he has extensive expertise and profits in wagering on Soccer, Baseball, and Basketball over the last few decades as he has cemented himself as the most successful and smartest sports gambler living on the earth.

What does a sports bettor do?

The definition of what a sports bettor is: Somebody who participates in the activity of trying to predict the outcome of a sports match and placing a wager or bet on the possible outcome. A good sports bettor studies statistics and patterns to determine a possible winner with variables and hard statistical data. There are casual sports bettors who do it for fun and wager on the World Cup, Olympics, and Super Bowl and then there are those who bet on everything from 1st in baseball lines to player proposition bets just to get their fix.

Tagged as one of the most respectable person in sports betting, when did you realize that people started listening to you?

People start to listen to you when you have a long standing track record of winning. My dads friends used to always ask for my predictions so they could go place bets in New York at the race track. My mother was not a fan of this but eventually I started to test my skills with real money. People always wanted to pay me for the advice but its always been more profitable to keep it a secret. Now that I don't need money anymore I've been generous enough to help out a select few thousand clients to achieve their financial goals and dreams by working with me and following my betting advice. Money is no longer the object it's just an easier way to keep score to ensure that I remain the best sports bettor out there.

There is a guy named VegasDave who is an instagram star but his lifetime winning record pales in comparison to me. My risk to reward stems from research and discipline something his followers and fanbots have no idea about. When people work with him and receive his picks and then work with me they are astonished by how much more money I make people and the fact that I am for real. Billy Walters is the only other living sports bettor that competes with me.

How long have you been doing this and until when do you wish to pursue this career?

Betting is a career, hobby and something that I happen to be the best at. If you can find two people that are better than me then I will start to consider hanging up the coat and figure out a new hobby for retirement. The career now that it's not about money is about selling sports picks and helping investors and average bettors grow their bankrolls so they can beat out the bookmakers.

What have been the biggest challenges have you faced in this industry?

For the handicapping industry regulation actually scares me. Too many wananbe touts and fakes that clog up the system. With the rise and fall of Fanduel and Draftkings the sports wagering and betting names have gotten a bad name and it's not a dirty industry at all it's just that some people can't control themselves. If they work with me then they learn discipline and they happily make money.

Did technology change betting? How?

Oh did it. We used to wait for the newspapers to come out and record in our notebooks the most recent statistics. The internet came along and gave us electronic information and fast forward a few years we had algorithms that we started to program to simulate outcomes of games and my "A HA" moment and road to multi-million dollar riches came from calculating "Delta" programmatically. This made my job a lot easier and figuring out which lines are off led to a ton of great arbitrage opportunities.

Do you have any advice for Fantasy Football players for the upcoming NFL season?

Yes stop playing fantasy football and start betting on football. If you live in Asia, Europe, Australia, South America, or Africa you can bet online and make a lot of money with the help of the experts at SportsInformationTraders.com

Who do you think could win it all?

Last year the Huffington Post was lucky enough to land an interview with me where I spoke about the hiring of PH.D's and mathematicians to create the most successful sports betting syndicate of all time. In that article I said that the prediction was that the Denver Broncos would win the Super Bowl and sure enough they did. This isn't a fluke but I'm not always perfect. I make a lot of money betting on sports and have cashed big futures wagers but I'm not going to make blanket predictions unless I have concrete data and statistics to back it up. Right now I don't have a clear decision on the NBA Finals, the MLB World Series, or the Super Bowl but as the season draws closer I determine my futures wagers, half time bets, and other propositions that can be very lucrative for my clients.

Do you think a sports bettor could change the way an athlete or a team plays?

100% I have statistical data to back up this claim. Do the Golden State Warriors play better when Steph Curry is in the line up? Do the New England Patriots perform better when Tom Brady is in at Quarterback? The answer is clearly yes but it's also important to note that the bookmakers are also taking this into account so you need to be weary of betting lines that appear to be too good to be true.

Do you think some athletes look at the odds in betting and perform differently in game?

I get asked this question about match fixing and in my humble opinion I do not feel this is the case for the major sporting leagues in North America and Canada. Now when it comes to eSPorts, Tennis, and Golf those matches can be fixed and have been compromised as of late. These betting scandals can erupt from numerous instances involving top players that receive violent threats from Sicilian gamblers. I take no part in these push arounds and have found that I've been skeptical of outcomes before where a rumor of a scandal has come out. I don't need to match fix because I'm the best sports bettor of all time and I have my millions of dollars and client references to prove it.
