Son Yeon-jae Achieves New Personal Best at Gymnastics World Cup
22-year-old rhythmic gymnast, Son Yeon-jae achieved a new personal best at the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup on Sunday. The Korean star won the bronze medal in the individual all-around in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Son's total earnings were 74.200 points, up by 0.300 from her previous best at the World Cup in Pesaro, Italy in April. Her score breakdown included 18.600 in clubs, 18.400 in ribbon on Sunday and 18.550 in hoop, 18.650 in ball on Saturday.
The winner of the event was Yana Kudryavtseva of Russia with a total score of 75.750. She is a three-time world all-around champion. Second, was Ukraine's Ganna Rizatdinova with 74.250.
