South Korean sprinter, Kim Kuk-young raced the Avante in a 70-meter race on Thursday at the 2016 Motor and Leisure Sports Festival in Yeongam. The car won, but Kim is looking forward to a rematch.

The Avante comes from South Korean automakers, Hyundai Motors Co. The machine finished the race in 7.544 seconds and Kim finished shortly after in 7.739 seconds.

Some onlookers predicted that the 25-year-old runner could win against the car since the Avante's average time in 70-meters was only 0.02 seconds faster than Kim during practice.

"My start was not as good as I expected due to the strong wind," Kim told reporters after the race. He added that he is up for a rematch against the car after competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janiero this August.

Kim currently holds the South Korean national record in the men's 100-meter at 10.16 seconds.
