‘The Revenant’ Star Tom Hardy On Pause From Daddy Duties For The Oscars?
It seems that "The Revenant" star Tom Hardy loves taking on daddy duties with his newborn son with wife Charlotte Riley. However, he might have to take a few days off as he prepares for the Oscar Awards this Sunday.
The 38-year-old actor and his wife gave the public a first glimpse of their child during a leisurely park stroll last November. According to the Daily Mail, the couple were "blissfully at-ease" as they spent some quality time with their baby.
Now that the awards season is in full swing, however, it looks like Tom Hardy will have to leave his daddy duties behind for a bit.
His film with Leonardo DiCaprio, "The Revenant," has been receiving love from award-giving bodies. The Daily Mail even spotted the "Legend" star sending a "cheeky wink" after it was revealed that the Alejandro González Iñárritu-helmed received the most nominations for the Oscars this year.
Being a Best Supporting Actor nominee himself, the father-of-two joined his co-star for a night out at London's Groucho club last January.
They will once again show up on the red carpet this Sunday for the 2016 Oscar Awards.
Being an actor isn't just what Tom Hardy is good at. He has also shared his pride in becoming a father to his children. The "Mad Max: Fury Road" actor was a father for the first time when his ex-girlfriend Rachel Speed gave birth to Thomas Louis some seven years ago.
He previously shared that becoming a father had changed his life.
"Being a father has given me the kind of purpose that makes you think more carefully about how you live your life," he said.
He added that becoming a father made him rethink his mistakes in the past, which caused his parents grief while he was growing up,
"I take great pride in being a father and make sure I'm there for him and helping him as he makes his way in the world," he continued.
If his time with Louis is any indication, Tom Hardy definitely loves his daddy duties with his new child.
