Karma Drone Specs: No Concrete Info Yet, But Sample 4K Video Footage Hints At HQ Action Camera

GoPro has been notoriously secretive so far about its forthcoming drone.

Anyone who visits the official product page to learn a thing or two about the Karma Drone specs and release date will be greeted by the glimpse of a sample video footage, accompanied by the text: GoPro Drone -- Coming 2016.

Rumor mills have been surprisingly quiet too - presumably due to the absence of any credible leak from 'sources', or a general lack of interest among rumormonger.

Nonetheless, coming to the possible Karma Drone specs, GoPro is certainly no stranger to 4K video recording technology. Their Hero 4 and Hero 4 Black brought pretty impressive (and popular) action cameras for both HD and 4K recording.

Both these devices built themselves an excellent track record when it came to covering an array of sports and outdoor activities.

With that into consideration, it's fair to assume that when GoPro finally deiced to bring forth its own drone and a built-in 4K video camera, it had the required technological foundation to pursue that objective without too many bumps (presumably).

The company recently released a sample 4K video shot by the Karma drone, although it carefully refrained from displaying the drone itself. Instead, GoPro hired the services of skier Bobby Brown to flaunt the recording quality offered by the carefully hidden Karma Drone specs.

At first, it seemed as if Brown was holding the Hero 4 Black camera in his hands, but then all of a sudden the camera lifts off and started recording Brown's movement from a high altitude.

While the video quality is pretty impressive, it is important to note here that GoPro seems to have carefully edited out the reflections of the drone itself.
