The most talked about movie adaptation of manga series and anime film "Ghost In The Shell" was rumored to be giving its fans something to be nervous of when reports were scattered about Disney's decision of dropping the franchise.

Despite of the the said film distributor's choice in not pushing the movie, Paramount gave light to "Ghost In The Shell" followers as the company was reported taking full responsibility in pursuing the adaptation.

According Collider, though Paramount signed already as co-financier for the movie, fans were still surprised when the Scarlett Johansson's live-action anime remake lost its Disney's slate, giving Paramount the full lead distribution of the anticipated film.

The source also elaborated that it could have been the original setup of the anime film which has more adult theme and ideas that led the more kid-friendly Disney company to pass the production to Paramount, the company that released "The Wolf of Wall Street."

Meanwhile, several reports gave updates to "Ghost In The Shell" fans on who would be the expected actor to play the vindictive Laughing Man character in the movie, which was known for being the enemy in the manga series.

"Michael Pitt, perhaps best known for playing a gangster on "Boardwalk Empire", has nabbed the villain role in 'Ghost in the Shell," The Hollywood Reporter reported.

"Pitt will play a character known as the 'Laughing Man' in the manga. The antagonist is a bitter and vengeful man with a body that is part robot," the source added. "He has a unique sense of style and has been described as a bad guy filtered through the lens of a street artist."

Although some details are still unclear, Paramount's "Ghost In The Shell" movie is expected to showcase Scarlett Johansson's combat skills on March 31, 2017. Stay posted for updates here.
