MacBook Pro 2016 Specs: Faster Performance, Better Graphics And Longer Battery Life
Hardly a week goes by when a new piece of "leaked" info on Apple MacBook Pro 2016 specs and release date fails to make it to the headlines in the tech sphere.
This has been the norm for the past several weeks now and the past couple of weeks were no exceptions either.
Speculative reports on MacBook Pro 2016 release date are still abound although it's hard to assess whether Apple is going to unveil the device during its event in March or later in June (during WWDC).
By now, almost everybody has come to terms with the fact that the next-generation MacBook Pro 2016 specs are likely to include Intel's Skylake processor.
As MacRumors pointed out, Skylake chips appropriate for an upgrade to the current 15-inch MacBook Pro Retina had already shown up on Intel's price lists in mid-January.
Similarly, the Skylake chips apt the 13-inch MacBook Pro Retina upgrade were introduced last year in September along with an early 2016 launch plan.
With all those aspects into consideration, it's fair to assume that these chips will be made available to Apple in the first few months of 2016.
In addition, there are also reports of Apple having shown interest in some new mobile Xeon E3 chips that, MacRumors believe, could be used in the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro to enhance graphics, memory and CPU performance.
Nonetheless, odds are still in favor of the standard Core i7 Skylake chips because it seems like a more balanced option to Apple in terms of both price and performance.
Meanwhile, another rumor propagated by DigiTimes claims that Cupertino is pondering over the idea of launching the MacBook Pro 2016 in phases.
If true, it could mean that the 13-inch model will hit the market sometime in March or April, to be soon followed by the launch of the 15-inch model in the third quarter.
While it's true that DigiTimes has some reliable sources inside Apple's supply chain, the website so far has a mixed track record.
Therefore, their claims regarding the MacBook Pro 2016 specs and release date must be taken with a grain of salt.
