Veteran actor, Bill Murray, recently revealed details on how he almost did not make it to the "Ghostbusters 3" movie.

The 65-year-old actor expressed that he was delighted for being called on to be the part of the new movie, but felt that his appearance might affect the success of the movie.

However, he said that he finally gave a nod for acting in the film after he was convinced about what he would miss if he turned down the offer.

"It kept eating at me, and I really respect those girls," Murray told Vulture. "And then I started to feel like if I didn't do this movie, maybe somebody would write a bad review or something, thinking there was some sort of disapproval [on my part]."

Earlier, there were speculations that Bill Murray was not at all convinced that he should make a comeback in the third installment of the comedy movie series, after his dissatisfaction with the "Ghostbusters 2" flick.

"I thought about it for a very long time," Bill told The Independent. "Like, many, many months. I was seriously thinking about this for years, really."

Birth Movies Death reported that Murray will play the character named Martin Heis in the upcoming third installment of the adventure movie series.

It is speculated that he will appear in a cameo role in the film, where he will try to prove that the new Ghostbusters are fake.

Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Melissa McCarthy will be seen as the leading ladies of the upcoming comedy ghost adventure film.

In addition to Bill Murray's appearance in "Ghostbusters 3," he will also be seen in "Angie Tribeca" season 2.

Moreover, there are speculations that the "Groundhog Day" actor might also collaborate with Jennifer Lawrence to work on a project together after the "Joy" actress expressed her interest in working with him.
