'Assassin's Creed' Movie Plot Revealed? Michael Fassbender To Play Two Characters?

Michael Fassbender is all set to take on the movie adaptation of the hit game, "Assassin's Creed" movie set to be released this year.

While details of the highly-anticipated film have been kept in the dark, Head of Content Azaïzia Aymar, openly shared information as to what fans could expect from the movie.

An article from Blastr released an article of Aymar's tweet about Michael Fassbender's character.

According to the report, Michael Fassbender will be playing two roles in "Assassin's Creed" movie.

In addition to playing Callum Lynch, he is also reportedly set to play the role of Aguilar.

"And Aguilar will be his ancestor in the past," Aymar tweeted.

Also, Aymar reportedly revealed that "It's possible you may find some familiar faces," despite the absence of Altair, Ezio and Connor.

"We share the same universe, he added. "Elements of the film have consequences, as in our games, comics, and books."

While the movie most likely includes many details about the game, Aymar did assure viewers that it will not be overwhelming.

"Trying not to overwhelm fans or newcomers w/ tons of references," he explained. "The focus was on crafting an elegant story!"

"We may have surprises for you!"

Michael Fassbender, on the other hand,  shared the challenges he experienced in making "Assassin's Creed" possible.

"That's always the challenge of something that's so dense, to really find something and pare it down and basically, there are so many elements to it, so trying to translate that to an audience, you have to pick key things," the actor explained to Movie Pilot. "So yes, that is part of it, getting through the density of it and paring down and engaging a simple story."

"Assassin's Creed" movie release date is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 21, 2016.
