Nevertheless, the play, which is directed by John Tiffany, has earned the curiosity of the millions of fans around the world. Seeing as the play will open in London's West End, fans from other parts of the world expressed their dismay at not being able to see the highly-anticipated sequel.

With this new announcement, Potterheads can now experience it through the "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" book version.

According to NPR, the book will reportedly hit bookshelves on July 31 - Rowling and Harry's birthday - a day after the play officially opens. Aside from the original author's endorsement, fans have also given it their utmost attention, seeing as Pottermore already announced that the script for the play is "officially the eighth story in Harry Potter canon."

BBC reported that "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II" has already reached the top spot on Amazon and Waterstones' book charts with the pre-orders from fans.

"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" takes place 19 years after the Battle Of Hogwarts and will focus on Harry's second child, Albus Severus.

"It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children," the official synopsis read.

"While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places."

The "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" book version will be published by the UK publishing company Little Brown.
