The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Is Jay Garrick Being Prepared As New Villain?

"Welcome to Earth-2" episode featured several villains with familiar faces, thus revealing possible "The Flash" season 2 spoilers.

STAR Labs people turned out to be villains in Earth-2. Except for Barry Allen, doppelgangers of Caitlin Snow, Cisco and Ronnie Raymond were revealed to be forces of evil.

Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) is basically a part of STAR Labs team now but he was not there in his original world but it was a good decision for him to stay.

In the latest "The Flash" season 2 episode spoilers, he tried his best to defend Central City against Geomancer but not without a twist. He has some secrets to spill and that alone makes him a suspicious personnel inside the STAR Labs.

After it was revealed that Jay's doppelganger in Earth-1 is Hunter Zolomon, who comic book fans know is a villainous speedster, questions about his intentions arose.

Is Teddy Sears going to play a villain soon?

Danielle Panabaker, who plays Caitlin Snow that has a "thing" with Jay Garrick, hopes it will not happen.

"I hope not," Panabaker said in front of the press during the recap of the latest "The Flash" season episodes (via TV Line).

"The Jay character I find to be so solid, and I don't think Team Flash could take much more betrayal."

This possible twist might or might not play out in the future episodes but for now, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) needs to get out of Zoom's capture as soon as possible.

As seen last week, the Scarlet Speedster from Earth-1 was captured by the scary Zoom while they were battling Killer Frost, Deathstorm, and Reverb.

He better escape quick since, in their original world, his city is in danger and only a weak Jay Garrick is there to fight a metahuman.

"On Earth-1, they still have to deal with Geomancer and the breach issue," executive producer Todd Helbing told Comicbook.com during the same press event. "Geomancer is out there, and Flash is locked up in a cell, so they really have to find a way to deal with him now that they're Flash-less, [and] they have to come up with a new plan. We have Cisco and Wells trying to come up with a plan in how to get Barry out of the predicament that he's in. They seek out help from somebody that you would never expect, and they do their best to set up this rescue mission."

The next "The Flash" season 2 episode is called "Escape from Earth-2" and will air on Feb. 16.
