The latest rumor on Marvel's upcoming movie, "Thor: Ragnarok," revealed that the God of Thunder's pal, Heimdall (Idris Alba), will be killed by Hela (Cate Blanchett).

Not only that, the big bad in the movie will also manage to destroy Thor's might hammer, Mjolnir.

The story of "Thor: Ragnarok" is rumored to feature villainess Hela who will join hands with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in his battle against Thor (Chris Hemsworth).

In the battle, Hela will defeat Thor and destroy his hammer and eventually, banish him from Asgard. The events here will reportedly pave the way for the Planet Hulk plotline, according to the rumors shared by Cosmic Book News.

One of the most anticipated in "Thor: Ragnarok" is the rumored death of Heimdall, the all-seeing and all-hearing guardian sentry of Asgard, who is friends with Thor.

Hela will supposedly kill Heimdall and he will end up getting stuck in Hel (underworld) with dead spirits.

The last Avengers installment had a scene with Thor in a cave having a dip in magical waters and suddenly, without warning, the God of Thunder had a vision of Heimdall in the underworld, noted Comic Book Movie.

Heimdall will supposedly go to Hel in "Thor: Ragnarok," but that's not his end. He will reportedly feature in the final battle between Thor (possibly paired with Hulk) and Hela's forces.

Hela will lead an army of the dead spirits with Heimdall, as one of her followers. But, whether the deceased Asgard sentry will be returning to his true form is not known.

The rumor involving the death of Heimdall in "Thor: Ragnarok" might be heart-breaking for his fans, but Idris Alba reportedly revealed that there are certain aspects in the movie that he himself didn't like.

There is a slight possibility that he himself asked for the death of his character in "Thor: Ragnarok," owing to his unhappiness, reported Cinema Blend.
