‘Star Trek Beyond’ Cast, Spoilers: William Shatner To Appear As Old Captain Kirk? Chris Pine Says Movie Is 'Easier And Better'
On its fiftieth anniversary, "Star Trek's" latest franchise, "Star Trek :Beyond," is expected to be as explosive as it could be. Rumor has it that William Shatner will play as an older version of Captain Kirk, while Chris Pine shared that the upcoming movie is getting easier and better for him.
Various reports said that "Star Trek" fans were saying that they would like to see the former actors of the previous installments to grace once again the new movie franchise. Appearing six times as Captain Kirk in the "Star Trek" novels, Shatner is one of the names that fans have been wanting to see again in the film.
Yahoo News reported that Shatner is very open of portraying the role in the movie once again. Though the 84-year-old actor was last scene 22 years ago, he still wants to make a full role of the character in the upcoming spinoffs.
"I would play an old Captain Kirk, absolutely. You would have [to have] an interesting character, not a cameo, like 'Here I am, aren't I interesting?" William Shatner shared. "It's the ongoing world, it's the world within science-fiction. Yes, you age within the universe. Time goes on, but time bends, as well. There's so many things you could do."
Meanwhile, Just Jared revealed that Chris Pine is having fun and getting along very well with his co-workers in "Star Trek: Beyond."
"It's gotten so much better and so much easier. This family we built has gotten tighter, stronger and stranger; we fight more and we make up more," the 35-year-old actor said. "It's a great marriage-we understand each other and what we all do best."
With so many revelations and teasers being told, fans can't wait any longer for the action packed scenes of "Star Trek: Beyond" as it opens in cinemas on July 22,2016.
