Netflix Pushes For ‘Legend Of Zelda’ Live Action; ‘Game Of Thrones’ Series Worried?
One of the most popular video games of all time, "Legend Of Zelda," is said to be seen on television in live action very soon through Netflix streaming service. Reports were saying that the show will offer a wholesome setup that will cater any type of viewer.
The adaptation of the popular game was not able to escape the rumors about comparing its fantasy-themed story to the famous "Game of Thrones." Various reports even said that it will give the HBO series a run for their money since it is more family-oriented and the scenes are less bloody for televiewers.
MovieWeb reported that "The Legend of Zelda" follows a story of an ordinary boy saving a princess from her extraordinary fantasy world. Though the upcoming episodic adventure series will feature sword and sorcery, which is quite similar from the mentioned HBO series, it is expected to be light-hearted and very kid-friendly.
Rumors said that the anticipated Netflix series will set record-breaking ratings since it is said to be suitable for every type of audience. Nitendo and Netflix were reportedly working hand-and-hand already to put the show into production as soon as possible.
"The Legend of Zelda" is composed of different games that will give Netflix producers ample material to prolong the TV equivalent of the game like how HBO worked with "Game of Thrones," basing the story from George R.R. Martin's novel "A Song of Fire and Ice Series, Rolling Stones reported.
Though fans can't wait for the live action scenes of the series, Netflix is still currently looking for the right person to write the TV adaptation of the popular video game. The planned "The Legend of Zelda" series will add from Netflix offerings, "A Daredevil Reboot", "The Wet Hot American Summer Reunion," and "Bojack Horseman."
