Fans of the widely acclaimed television network Netflix have raved about the series "Narcos" and would have more reasons to do so as the show's producers have dished out some spoilers for its season 2.

It was recently reported that producers for the Netflix series "Narcos" Eric Newman and Jose Padilha spoke to reporters on a panel regarding season 2 of the show and have revealed some spoilers regarding the end of Wagner Moura's character (Pablo Escobar) and the potential of being renewed for season 3, Slash Film revealed.

"Trust me, if we could find a way to keep him alive and keep Wagner on the show..." Newman told the panel of possible spoilers. "He will die. The design of the show is we told 15 years of history in season one. At the point of Escobar's escape which is the summer of 1992, Escobar has 18 months to live."

"That's not something we can change. To stretch that out beyond another season would be disingenuous of us. That story was always designed to have an ending."

Moreover, the producers went on to liken the show to "Homeland" and discussed a few spoilers that "Narcos" will still remain as the show moves on after the death of Pablo Escobar due to the fact that the series is premised on the industry of drugs and not of the notable drug lords.

"There are any number of things that can happen after," they said. "We have not committed to one or the other. Obviously, there are a lot of other stories in this world that continue on beyond him."

"In some ways, for me, what they've done with 'Homeland' after losing Damian Lewis after season three is sort of amazing."

Although there's still no official announcement as to the release date of "Narcos" season 2, fans can rest assure that the series is currently under production, according to Crossmap.
