Rila Fukushima's Katana returned in latest Arrow season 4 episode

Samurai warrior Katana (Rila Fukushima) re-appeared in the latest "Arrow" season 4 episode and treated fans to a kick-ass fight with Nyssa (Katrina Law). However, some spoilers already assumed that she will be gone in few weeks' time.

Before the episode "Unchained," the CW TV series killed off Amanda Waller. What does this has to do with Katana? Well, these two DC characters will appear in the upcoming movie, "Suicide Squad" which will hit the big screen in August.

There are rumors that some "Arrow" characters are being written off to avoid confusion between the TV series and movie.

The show, which stars Stephen Amell in lead role, already did it to Deadshot (Michael Rowe) who is played by Will Smith in the movie.

So will Katana say goodbye in any of the next "Arrow" season 4 episodes?

"Meaning, is she being brought back just to be written off à la Deadshot and Waller, other DC Comics characters that existed on Arrow but will also be in August's Suicide Squad movie? That I do not know, though Katana's nest appearance promises to be 'surprising,'" Matt Webb Mitovich wrote for TV Line when a fan asked for a Katana-specific "Arrow" season 4 spoilers.

The publication then quoted "Arrow" showrunner Wendy Mericle.

"We loved that Tatsu last season kind of evolved into [Katana], so we're really excited about her return," she said.

"It was great to have Rila [Fukushima] back and to see that character again, but it'll be kind of a new, surprising way that we do it."

"Arrow" has the reputation of killing anybody in the show not named Oliver or Felicity, so Katana fans should at least prepare themselves for the worst.

The next "Arrow" season 4 episode is called "Sins of the Father." Read the spoiler below.

"Oliver receives an offer from Nyssa that is hard to refuse. Meanwhile, Thea (Willa Holland) continues to battle the blood lust, Malcolm (John Barrowman) steps in to help his daughter, and Laurel (Katie Cassidy) has a heart to heart talk with Nyssa."
