Phenomenal singer Adele defies convention of poised, abstract and sexy cover artworks for album covers as she throws caution to the wind and playfully shared a childhood photo of her showing a toothless grin for her newest single "When We Were Young."

The adorable photo adds a new feat for Adele, seemingly making the world simpler with how she lives it comfortably.

Adele was ruddy-cheeked and gap-toothed as a child, her front teeth were missing, and her hair was disheveled and unpolished, the Telegraph said of the image.

The new single "When We Were Young" has long been introduced along with her other tracks for her latest full album "25". The album was released in November 2015 and broke records for its first week of sales in the United Kingdom and the United States. The title single "Hello" also rose to number one in almost every country it charted in.

Those who bought the physical album were lucky enough to hear her others, including the recently released single, which by then were not made available on online streaming services,The Huffington Post noted.

The new single was released last Feb. 5 and is heading for the number one spot in the Billboard Hot 100, following the footsteps of its predecessor "Hello." The song is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and Google Play.

Interestingly, although the said ballad has been around for three months before it was promoted separately, it still made buzzing stories on social media and returned to the top spot on the real-time Billboard-Twitter Trending 140 chart.

The Trending 140 chart measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music, Billboard noted. Adele's chilhood photo was seen as an effective marketing strategy to get people talking about her new song.
