The latest speculations for the upcoming season 6 of "Game of Thrones" tease the possible resurgence of the lead character, Jon Snow, and his possible connection with the upcoming book "Winds of Winter."

The internet is flooded with the rumors that Jon Snow is dead and even, the British actor, Kit Harrington, who portrays the character, confirmed the same in an interview a few months back. But the recent speculations suggest that Jon would be back in some new form.

"If there's one thing we know in 'A Song of Ice and Fire' is that death is not necessarily permanent," George R.R. Martin told Entertainment Weekly. "Yes, I always had plans, what Tyrion's arc was gonna be through this, what Arya's arc was gonna be through this, what Jon Snow's arc is gonna be."

He also claimed that he had decided every detail about the lead character's storyline in advance.

Moreover, it is rumored that the new season 6 of the drama series will showcase a new plot in store for Jon Snow's character as per the writings of the "Winds of Winter" novel, Christian Post reported.

With all the speculations surrounding Jon Snow's character, another cast of the "Game of Thrones" series, Maisie Williams, recently spilled some beans on the 29-year-old actor's fate.

"It's a great twist, but I can't say he's going to be alive," the 18-year-old actress revealed to E! Online.

Besides, Movie News Guide reported that this revelation from Williams has given rise to speculations about Snow's linkage with the upcoming new season 6, which will feature bits and parts from the "Winds of Winter" novel, due to be released soon.

The "Game of Thrones" season 6 is slated to be released on April 24, 2016, while "Winds of Winter" novel's availability has yet to be announced.
