Fans of tech-giant Apple can't help but feel excited as rumors circulate around regarding the release date of the upcoming MacBook Air 2016 set this summer.

It was recently reported by BGR that Apple has set a release date to finally unveil its 2016 MacBook Air in the upcoming WWDC event this summer of 2016.

The same prediction has also been stated by Master Herald where it speculated the availability of the Cupertino-based company's MacBook Air 2016 to be launched alongside with Apple Watch 2, iPad Air 3, and the iPhone 5SE this March.

As such, fans of Apple should take the reports with a grain of salt until there is an actual official announcement given by the company regarding the release date of its MackBook Air 2016.

Meanwhile, there have reports circulating as well where analysts have entertained the thought that Apple might actually discontinue the Air model and just stick with the MacBook line in future releases.

It was reported that the MacBook Air has not been treated with a new design in a long time and that it would be highly improbable for it to have one that would bring it up to par with a USB Type-C, which was featured in the latest Apple MacBook launch last year.

Moreover, it was also believed that the difference between the MacBook Air and the recent development to the MacBook is already minimal, especially since Apple has been largely supporting the redesigned MacBook to the extent that it may replace the former, Digital Trends reported.

Time can only tell whether fans and tech savvy alike will see another MacBook Air being released by Apple in the future.
