EA has announced a release date for their mecha shooter "Titanfall 2."

The sequel is expected before March 2017, which is roughly three years since the first installment dropped in 2014. The game developer also revealed that "Battlefield 5" will be out by late 2016.

Last month, Electronic Arts CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed during the company's third-quarter 2016 earnings call that "Titanfall 2" will be launched during EA's fiscal year.

"We're not yet announcing when 'Titanfall' or 'Mass Effect Andromeda' will come," Jorgensen said in a statement published by Gamespot. "But you should assume that's in the back half of the year as well because the second quarter [July-September] is so dominated by our sports titles."

This means that the much-awaited sequel will drop sometime between April 1, 2016 and March 31, 2017.

The isn't a lot of information about their soon-to-be-released-games, although CEO Andrew Wilson said at the conference that "Titanfall 2" is "looking fantastic."

Meanwhile, Jorgensen also discussed release date details on the other highly anticipated game, "Battlefield 5."

"You should assume that a 'Battlefield' will come typically in the third quarter when we normally have it," he noted.

This means that the fifth installment should be out at the end of 2016 because most of the EA sports games usually drops around July until September.

The first "Titanfall" game was limited to the XBox One and the PC, but based on Respawn co-founder Vince Zampella's statements from last year, it is expected that the sequel will be released on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4.

"We're starting up a second team and doing some smaller stuff too," Zampella said in a statement published by Daily Star. "Small, exploratory, taking it slow! It'll be multi-platform. I wouldn't have done it differently. We set out to do it and it was one of our goals."

Furthermore, "Mass Effect Andromeda" has also been confirmed to be released this year, although many had already anticipated its arrival since it was first announced back at E3 2015.

All three EA games are expected to be available on PlayStation 4, XBox One and the PC platforms.

Stay tuned for more on the release date of "Titanfall 2" and "Battlefield 5" as information becomes available.
