Agents of SHIELD cast will return on March

The last "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 episode explained the world of Inhumans a little more. With that said, will the ABC TV series go full throttle when it comes to these powered creatures for the rest of the season?

Showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen teased spoilers for "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 as she warned that it will be a slow burn.

"If we're just going to dive right into having all these people who can do this, that and the other, I don't think that would be fair to our theme," she told IGN, when prodded for "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 spoilers.

"Now that there is starting to be an awareness in the world about the presence of Inhumans, what we're doing there is just a metaphor for anything different in our society, obviously."

Instead, spoilers reveal that future "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 episodes will still deal with character development, especially Daisy (Chloe Bennett) who is just starting to have a good grasp of her powers.

"There might be a righteous quality to Daisy's perspective that develops, only because she is defending her people," she explained. "Also, she's a person with powers."

Tancharoen continued, "We're also going to dive into that, what it means to have power. What does that mean? Is there an element of hubris to that? And also just what does power mean to all the people involved, from our good guy side to our bad guy side?"

The mid-season finale gave a sneak peak of a superhero team consisting of Daisy, Lincoln, and Miguel. Marvel fans were quick to assume that these could be the start of the making of superhero team Secret Warriors.

However, showrunner Jed Whedon insisted in the same interview that they are not going over that anytime soon because of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For now, the team lead by Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) will have to deal first with the monster they brought with them from the strange planet they recently visited.

"I mean, this guy looks like Ward, but this is a new chapter for the character and for me as the actor playing it," Dalton said in separate interview with IGN when asked for "Agents of SHIELD" season 3 spoilers.

"It will be a whole new set of challenges. It's a big deal."
